Kurt Angstadt ‘03
Looking for a college with great value, excellent opportunities, and hands on learning, Kurt found himself at York studying both Sports Management and Business Administration so that he could learn the business aspect of sports events. However, during his time at YCP, Kurt had the opportunity to have an internship in a field that strayed from his major- the world of finance. From there, he exceled and educated himself in areas of personal finance, which he has since turned into a career. If this was not enough, Kurt also earned a graduate degree from American College.
As a Senior Wealth Advisor at Sensing Capital Advisors, Kurt helps small businesses and individuals gain peace of mind through smart financial decisions. Despite his degree in Sports Management, he feels that his degree at YCP set the foundation in understanding the business world and will prepare him for his future goal of building a growing and successful fee-only financial planning firm.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Kurt keeps himself busy as a board member of the YMCA, a member of F&AM, a Habitat for Humanity mentor, and competing in IRONMAN Triathlon events.
Enjoyed most during his time at YCP: The freedom to enjoy the diverse and growing campus life as well as maturing personally among ambitious students.
Involvements at YCP: Men’s Soccer, Student Ambassador, Sports Management Club, and a Youth Soccer Coach.
Advice to Current Students: “Dreams and inspiration won’t work unless you DO.”
