Indu Bastakoti '20

Baltimore County, MD
“From day one, I was surrounded by amazing people who are always there for me.”

What attracted Indu to York College? Simple. It’s how small and inclusive the campus is. Indu wanted to attend a school that would allow her to make an impact not only in her campus community, but the York community as well. She was selected to be an Eisenhart scholar, a program that educates, prepares, and inspires students to become agents of change in their communities.

Currently in her sophomore year, Indu is serving as secretary of the Student Senate and is a resident assistant in Penn Hall. This January, she is traveling around the east coast to meet alumni and prospective students as a member of York College’s SpartaNation Road Crew.

Favorite place on campus: Student Senate Office

Number one travel must-have: Her camera

Most excited for during SpartaNation: “I am excited to meet new people, especially alumni who work in the field that I am currently interested in.”
