How has York College helped you get to where you are today?
The education was great. The career guidance from professors was invaluable. I still quote some of my professors when I'm offering advice to others. The co-op experience was also invaluable, especially since I'm working at one of the places I did a co-op at.

What do you enjoy most about your current professional role?
In our industry, the workplace is always changing. We are regularly working on new projects (buildings), in new locations, with new challenges and usually with new teams of people. I love working with these teams to help owners & architects navigate through the many decision points on each project.

What advice do you have for current students or fellow alumni seeking a career in your chosen field?
We are always looking for people with a technical background, who are willing to work hard, excited to learn, like solving problems, and who are good communicators.

What does it mean to you to have York College students coming to your place of work for a special site visit?
I'm always very excited to interact with the students from YCP. The visit allows me to answer some great questions and share some of my experiences. Additionally, I am afforded the opportunity to learn a few new things from the students.

How has York College helped you get to where you are today?
York taught me how to be self-sufficient, improved my communication skills and above all, allowed me to meet, grow and learn with people I would never have otherwise met, making me a more well rounded, and understanding person.

What advice do you have for current students or fellow alumni seeking a career in your chosen field?
Never stop refining and developing your personal interaction skills. Effective communication and communicators are (and always will be) in high demand.
