Bob Dee '86 | Crompco
My name is Andrew Rhodes ‘20, and I am a senior Finance and Economics major at YCP. This is my second year on Road Crew and I think that the trip has been great! This week, the YCP Road Crew had the pleasure of having lunch with 1986 alumnus, Bob Dee, at P.F. Chang’s. While at lunch, Bob shared with us his experiences at York College and how those experiences have led to success in his current position as President of Crompco Corporation.
Bob was generous enough to sponsor many of the marketing tools of the YCP Road Crew as well as the lunch at P.F. Chang’s. Some of the valuable advice shared by Bob included his emphasis on the importance of hard work. He also talked about some of the great experiences that his son, Connor, has had at York College as a lacrosse player and senior business major.
One of the great things that I got out of the conversation with Bob was his emphasis on developing personable skills. The greatest takeaway from the lunch conversation with Bob was the importance of communication and networking skills as a professional. Bob mentioned that these “soft skills” are integral to future success in business.
