"In the first two years at York Junior College, there were no music classes offered. We did, however, have three excellent professors who taught in their own studios as part of the College curriculum. I studied with all three and this background gave me the start of my career."

Hosted a music studio at Julius Music House where she taught private piano lessons for over 60 years
An active member of the congregation of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where she organized and directed children and youth choir for 25 years
Former Piano Teacher, Choir Director, Activity Director – Autumn House at Powder Mill
Besides producing a wonderful, loving family and having two sons reach their goals, she is proud of the many lives she has touched with her music
York Junior College Reunion Committee Chair for over 10 years
Co-Founder and donor of the York Junior College Scholarship
Took night courses for music for four years while working at the York Corporation during the War (1943-1947)
Attended Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Virginia in 1947 and completed additional music courses
