Received a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering- Thermo/Fluid Mechanics in 2007 from Johns Hopkins University
Married his college sweetheart, Elyse ’03, and has two daughters, Charlotte Jane (six) and Vanessa Claire (three)
Selected by Johnson Controls to establish (and continues to mentor) a team of engineers to develop models and simulations of chiller units in Wuxi, China, and recently returned to Pennsylvania after a 2-½-year assignment
Worked with the engineering programs at York College through the Engineering Industry Advisory Council
Endowed the Elyse and Justin Kauffman Scholarship Fund in 2011, which supports students studying abroad or engineering majors
Created engineering analysis tools to automate and expedite test data analysis
Issued six patents including heat exchanger design and cooling systems and developed centrifugal chiller performance rating platform
Serves as a mentor and judge on campus for senior design projects
