Received a Bachelor of Arts from Elizabethtown College and Master of Social Work from West Virginia University
Served on the Elizabethtown College Board of Trustees from 1983 to 1990
Served on the Boards of Bethany Theological Seminary, Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center, and served as a Director for the Brethren Home Foundation
Served as President of the Windy Hill Senior Center and Vice President of Children’s Aid Society
