The Career Development Center functions as a resource center with the following services; FOCUS, a computerized system designed to help students with career and educational planning; job vacancy notices for full-time, part-time, and summer employment, and The Career Weekly, a weekly publication listing employment openings, internship opportunities, and upcoming Career Development events. Career planning services are offered for students and alumni. Surveys show that over 90% of York College graduates are either employed in their fields or in graduate school within the first six months of graduation, a percentage much higher than the national average.

YORK COLLEGE RADIO STATION

Located in the upper level of the Student Union is York College's radio station, WVYC FM 99.7 and AM 640. Licensed by the FCC as a non-commercial, educational radio station, WVYC broadcasts more than 100 hours every week, serving as an information and entertainment medium for York College students and the surrounding community. The station provides the perfect training ground for students to become FCC-licensed radio announcers. Other students who enjoy the broadcasting field may opt to work in one of the "behind-the-scenes" departments such as underwriting, promotions, production, or news.
