Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center

Grumbacher CenterThe Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center opened in April 2006. This 160,000 square foot complex features the Charles Wolf Gymnasium, a 1,712-seat arena hosting varsity competition in men's and women's basketball, volleyball and wrestling, an eight-lane competitive pool with instructional areas and 1- and 3-meter diving boards, a three-court field house, spacious locker room facilities, a climbing wall, cyber cafe, wireless network access throughout the building and a state-of-the-art fitness area that spreads out over 7,600 square feet.

A 19,000 square foot space used primarily for varsity basketball, volleyball and wrestling competition as well as campus cultural events.

The Field House features three rubberized courts ideal for basketball, volleyball, tennis and badminton; primarily used for club sports, intramural sports, informal recreation and occasional varsity competition.

A 32 foot high, 39 foot wide climbing wall and bouldering area designed for all skill levels.

Twelve lanes ideally suited for teaching, recreational competitive swimming activities; 103 feet long, 75 feet, inch wide swim course with 1 and 3 meter diving boards.< P>


ATHLETIC FIELDS
In addition to indoor facilities, York's Athletic fields provide numerous opportunities for its Division III athletes. From men's baseball, rugby, and lacrosse to women's softball, soccer, and field hockey, student's enjoy a wide variety of athletics.
