1. Return Receipt - is a proof of delivery. The person that is being sent an item must sign the little green card, and then the card is returned to the mailer as proof of delivery. This service can be used with the following services: Insured mail, Certified mail, Registered mail, Priority mail, and Express mail. (Note: Any person at the office of address can sign for the item.)

    1. Restricted Delivery - an option is to use the return receipt restricted delivery service. This service means only the addressee can receive the mail. Restricted Delivery is only available for certified mail.

  2. International Mail - is mail being sent outside the continental United States and requires special handling.

    1. Air Mail - must be placed in interoffice envelopes, addressed to Mail Services, and marked "Airmail" on the envelope. This will avoid mixing the Airmail in with the regular First-Class mail and having the improper postage affixed. Mixing Airmail with First-Class mail could result in a delay of several weeks for your mail to reach its destination.

    2. Surface Mail - is an inexpensive service to send large items overseas. When using this service, please keep in mind that while it’s less expensive, it will take a lot longer for your mail to arrive at its destination.

    3. Global Priority - offers the best value for those customers seeking international delivery. This service is for correspondence and packages that are extremely important but not urgent. It is handled in an expedited manner in the U.S. and gets priority handling in 27 countries worldwide. Please contact Mail Services to check and make sure the country you are sending the item to handles Global Priority mail.

    4. Customs Tags - all international mail requires Customs Tags. The Customs Tags must be itemized in detail with a monetary amount assigned to each item. This is required by the United States Postal Service.

      1. Form 2976 Customs Tag is for international mail under 4 lbs.
      2. Form 2976A Customs Tag is for international mail over 4 lbs.
