All mail being metered must have a return address, according to USPS regulations. While pre-stamped mail is not required to have a return address, it is preferred in the event the mail needs to be returned. All pre-stamped mail without a return address, that needs to be returned, will be placed in the USPS dead letter bins.
You may send #10 envelopes to Mail Services either sealed or unsealed. If you send unsealed envelopes to Mail Services, the flaps must be overlapped. If the envelope flaps are not overlapped, they will be returned to you to be corrected. (Note: All envelopes larger than #10 must be sealed prior to sending to Mail Services.) If your office is planning a large first-class mailing (500 pieces or more), please contact Mail Services Manager several days in advance so that additional time can be scheduled to process the daily mail and to ensure that adequate money is added to the postage meter.

Express Mail - the Post Office guarantees next day delivery to most destinations within the U.S. (Note: Deliveries to some locations in the U.S. and all locations overseas do take longer than one day.) Mail using this service must be in Mail Services no later than 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. After 2 p.m. there is no guarantee that it will arrive at the destination by the next business day. This service is more expensive than Priority and First-Class mail, and you must complete an authorization form unless you are paying for it on your own.
-
Priority Mail - is a service offered by the U.S. Postal Service that allows the delivery of an item in two to three days. While two to three days is a normal time frame, it is not guaranteed to reach its destination in two to three days. First-Class mail that weighs 13 oz. or more is automatically considered Priority mail. First-Class mail under 13 oz. can be mailed as Priority mail, but there is a minimum rate for this service, which is more than the standard First-Class rate.
-
Delivery Confirmation - This is a new service provided by the U.S. Postal Service. For an additional fee, all Priority mail can be tracked, and the U.S. Postal Service can provide proof of delivery. (Additional fees involved.)
-
-
Certified Mail - provides a receipt to the sender of First-Class or Priority mail and a record of delivery at the post office of address. Certified mail can be used with return receipt or restricted delivery, provided the required fees are paid. (Additional fees involved.)
