Criminal Justice

York College was the first step on the path to success for Kenneth Kochenour, Founder, CEO, and President of GF Management Inc. After obtaining his B.S. in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement from the College, Kochenour began developing his career as a police officer, which eventually led him into the private sector. The strong foundation laid by YCP coupled with the guidance of many experienced entrepreneurs and successful business partners led Kochenour to found GF Management Inc. in 1988 and develop it into one of the most successful hospitality ownership and management companies in the nation. GF Management Inc. has received several prestigious recognitions over the years. Not only was it ranked one of the top five third-party management companies by Hotel Magazine four years in a row, from 2011 to 2014, but it was named a top operator in Lodging Magazine’s 2015 "Guide to Management Companies." A pillar of Kochenour’s success is the relationships he has built along the way. He has always surrounded himself with knowledgeable, committed, and passionate people. It is these rewarding relationships that started at YCP.

Despite his busy career and immense success, Kochenour still remembers his roots. One of the College's most generous donors, Kochenour was awarded the Alumni Achievement Award in 2008 and elected to the York College Board of Trustees in 2010. Kristin Schab '04, the College's Director of Alumni Relations, is eternally grateful for Kochenour's generosity to YCP as she explains, "Mr. Kochenour has been absolutely instrumental in helping our office increase alumni engagement in several different regions. Through his support, we have engaged hundreds of alumni, students, parents, prospective students, and friends of the College."

Although his company is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, Kochenour currently lives in Naples, FL, with his wife Candice. He is also extremely proud of his four beautiful daughters: Karey, Kristen, Karley, and Leah.
