New Student Day

This special day marks the first step in your successful transition to York College. On this day you will:

  • Be welcomed as a member of our student-centered campus community.
  • Discuss your personal academic requirements and expectations as well as unique learning opportunities with faculty, academic advisors, and upperclassmen.
  • Receive helpful information to enhance your living and learning experience that will commence in the fall.
  • Confirm that you made the right choice!

9 - 9:45 a.m. Welcome Session

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Campus Activities and Student Services Fair

  • Location: Field House, Grumbacher Center
  • Involvement Opportunities: Representatives from student organizations will be available with information about activities and events.
  • Services and Departments: Representatives from the Bookstore, Residence Life, Career Development, Student Activities & Orientation, Health Center, Athletics & Recreation, Religious Activities, Campus Safety, Counseling Services, Multicultural Affairs, Information Technology, Academic Advising, Center for Professional Excellence, Disability Services, Business Office, and Financial Aid will be available.
  • ID cards will be processed.

Additional Info

  • Visit the Bookstore and check out the apparel, gifts, supplies, Convenience Store and more. Open 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Shuttle buses will be running between the Grumbacher Center and the Iosue Student Union from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Lunch will be available from 12:30 - 2 p.m. at the Iosue Student Union or the West Campus Community Center ($6 per person).
  • In making your travel plans, you can expect to complete your visit by 2 p.m.
