Leadership Program

ExCEL stands for Excellence in Creating Extraordinary Leaders. The mission of the ExCEL Leadership Program is to develop and enhance the leadership skills of YCP students through quality leadership workshops and presentations. Through this program we hope to foster a community of responsible and dedicated student leaders that will increase the overall quality of involvement and engagement of the YCP student population as a whole. ExCEL is open to all students and focuses presentations and workshops on organizational leadership skills that students can apply in their current roles.

ExCEL is sponsored by Student Activities and Orientation, Student Affairs, and the Center for Professional Excellence. 

ExCEL- Leadership Series

This semester's ExCEL program is based on the basic principles of organizational leadership.

The sessions offered in the Spring semester are:

Students are encouraged to participate in these sessions regardless of class year and current involvement in a student organization, as these leadership skills are transferable to all aspects of the College experience and will serve students in a wide range of opportunities.

Along with the ExCEL Leadership sessions, students are also encouraged to attend the sessions sponsored by the Center for Professional Excellence. These sessions will incorporate the basic skills and principles found in ExCEL sessions and provide a relevant topic of discussion for professional development.
