In addition to traditional residence hall rooms, there are several options available to students beyond their freshman year. Students are required to live on campus during their time at York. Within the residence halls students will gain memories that last a lifetime.
Don't forget to check out our residency requirement and housing policy.
At York College, we know that where you choose to live is a decision as important to your academic success as what classes you take and how to spend your free time. That is why we have many options to suit students' diverse needs. Whether you want to live in a traditional "dorm" with members of your class, or desire to live in an apartment or suite style setting we have your needs covered. Check out our on-campus housing options.
Students wishing to live off campus next year must apply through the Office of Residence Life and Housing. Applications are considered on an individual basis and are limited. Students are not guaranteed permission to live off-campus and should not enter into any additional lease obligations.
Students choose to commute to college for many different reasons. And while commuters are not on campus as much as students who live in residence halls, they can still take advantage of all York College has to offer. Current on-campus must apply to commute for the following year. As long as students meet the application deadline and criteria listed in the housing policy they would receive permission to commute.
