Academic Transition Coach

 

The Center for Teaching and Learning at the York College of Pennsylvania is seeking applications for an Academic Transition Coach.  This is a part-time position, up to 25 hours/week, beginning July 2015. The Academic Transition Coach will consult with high school and first-year college students, students on academic probation, and students with special needs, as well as create academic success resources and teach study skills workshops.  Some evening hours expected.  Requires teaching experience and computer proficiency, Masters in Education or related degree preferred. Assistant Director of the Business Office

 

A full-Time Assistant Director of the Business Office position is available immediately.  This position will assist with all functions relative to the management and operations of Accounts Receivable. Responsibilities include:: coordinate and conduct collection procedures on past due accounts, analyze  student accounts, - coordinate and perform billing procedures for both York College and York Country Day School and manage electronic communications. Required B.S. in Accounting and 5+ yrs. experience in accounts receivable and collections-. Banner experience preferred. Salary Range is $40,000-$50,000 per year. Assistant Director of Student Activities & Orientation (for Greek Life and Leadership)

 

A full-time Assistant Director of Student Activities & Orientation position is available and effective July 1, 2015.  The Assistant Director is an integral part of the Office of Student Activities & Orientation within the Student Affairs division, with specific responsibilities coordinating Greek Life and Student Leadership Programs. This includes but is not limited to advising fourteen national fraternities and sororities, Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and Order of Omega; as well as coordination and implementation of the campus-wide student leadership series and all other student leadership development initiatives. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with new student orientation, student activities, volunteer programs, and any other related duties. Requirements:  Master’s Degree in student affairs administration, counseling, or related field.  1-2 Years of professional and/or graduate experience in student leadership and Greek life.  Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal skills, and sense of humor.  Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours, as needed.  Position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Field Experience Coordinator

 

York College of Pennsylvania is seeking a team-oriented, qualified professional to join the Department of Education as an administrator for Field Experience.  The Field Experience Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining school district partnerships to support the field experience requirements for all Education majors. The coordinator will collaborate with faculty and program coordinators to develop assessments/assignments for field experience, and will also go into the schools to monitor students, ensure requirements are met, resolve conflicts/issues/concerns that may arise while students are representing YCP in the field, and maintain a professional presence in the districts.  Additional responsibilities include maintaining field experience documentation, verifying clearances and working with the Field Services Administrator to further the needs of the Field Services Division.  This ten-month position will begin mid August 2015. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Education, the successful candidate will have at least five years of experience (teaching and supervision) in K-12 education public schools and hold a Masters of Education or higher in Supervision, Administration or related education field.  In addition, supervisory certification and/or experience in supervision are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary for this position.

Math Tutor Coordinator

 

The Center for Teaching and Learning at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a part-time position, up to 25 hours/week, beginning August, 2015. The Math Tutor Coordinator will tutor high school and college students in levels of math from algebra to calculus, support peer math tutors in their roles, and assist with administrating the math assistance programming in the Center.  Some evening hours are expected.
