Area Coordinator

 

A full-time administrative Area Coordinator position(s) available at York College of PA. The Area Coordinator is a live in, full time, 12 month position responsible for managing all functions of a residential complex of approximately 600-1,200 students and supervising a staff of undergraduate Resident Assistants (12-18), Undergraduate Desk Assistants (20-35), and an undergraduate Desk Supervisor and an undergraduate Community Assistant. The Area Coordinator promotes safety in the complex, serves in an on-call rotation, hears student conduct cases, conducts weekly staff and supervisory meetings, responds to emergencies, and serves as a liaison between the Residence Life Office, Campus Operations, the Student Affairs Office, Campus Safety and other administrative areas as needed.  The Area Coordinator also serves in a student life assignment in one of the following areas: Volunteer Services, Community Programming, Intercultural Student Life Programming and First Year Experience Programming.  This student life assignment includes advising student organizations, implementing programs, and serving on appropriate committees.  Excellent benefits package including a competitive salary, partially furnished apartment, and full meal plan. Requirements are as follows: Master’s Degree in student personnel, student affairs administration, counseling or related field. Experience in residence life preferred. Director of Admissions

 

The Director of Admissions is a member of the Enrollment Management team and is responsible for undergraduate recruiting and admissions. Primary responsibilities include directing the activities of the admissions team and utilizing effective recruitment strategies in order to meet enrollment goals; developing systems to effectively recruit and admit students; creating effective event programming both on and off-campus; and assisting in the development of enrollment and financial aid targets.  This position reports to the Dean of Enrollment Management. A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred.  The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years college admissions experience with supervisory responsibilities. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; and strong organizational skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.  Fluency in speaking and reading a second language is preferred.  Salary is competitive.

Field Experience Coordinator

 

York College of Pennsylvania is seeking a team-oriented, qualified professional to join the Department of Education as an administrator for Field Experience.  The Field Experience Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining school district partnerships to support the field experience requirements for all Education majors. The coordinator will collaborate with faculty and program coordinators to develop assessments/assignments for field experience, and will also go into the schools to monitor students, ensure requirements are met, resolve conflicts/issues/concerns that may arise while students are representing YCP in the field, and maintain a professional presence in the districts.  Additional responsibilities include maintaining field experience documentation, verifying clearances and working with the Field Services Administrator to further the needs of the Field Services Division.  This ten-month position will begin mid August 2015. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Education, the successful candidate will have at least five years of experience (teaching and supervision) in K-12 education public schools and hold a Masters of Education or higher in Supervision, Administration or related education field.  In addition, supervisory certification and/or experience in supervision are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary for this position.

Math Tutor Coordinator
