York College of Pennsylvania (YCP) seeks a Dean of College Advancement to join its senior leadership team and invites inquiries, nominations and applications for this position. The core of the College’s mission is to provide a high quality education that emphasizes personal development, close faculty/student mentoring relationships and real-world experiences. The advancement and sustainability of this central set of goals has been made possible through the philanthropic support and volunteer leadership of dedicated friends of the College. 

Located in York, Pennsylvania, on a beautiful 190 acre urban campus, the College offers more than 50 baccalaureate majors to a population of approximately 5,000 students (approximately 90% undergraduate). Additionally, York College offers master’s degrees in nursing, business administration, and education and a doctorate in nursing. In 2016, it was ranked 83rd by U.S. News & World Report’s Regional Universities of the North category as well as named a Best Northeastern College by The Princeton Review. 

The Dean will report to the President and serve as a member of the College’s senior administration. The Dean will oversee development, alumni relations, communications and the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship as well as provide development strategy and staffing for the York Country Day School. Leveraging the enthusiasm of leadership across the College, the Dean will lead a comprehensive advancement operation that will unite faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers, institutional leadership and other stakeholders to support York College’s strategic vision. The Dean will foster mission-based philanthropy to ensure financial strength, promote sustainability, provide financial support to students and incentivize innovation and creativity throughout the institution. 

This senior leader will bring exceptional leadership skills with a passion for collaboration. Superior communication and relationship- building skills and experience are a must. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading a comprehensive campaign and soliciting major and principal gifts. The candidate will also who demonstrated success in enhancing alumni engagement and increased participation in annual fundraising efforts.  A bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree preferred.
