Description:
The Admissions Counselor is a member of the admissions team primarily responsible for implementing and participating in undergraduate student recruitment.
Responsibilities:
• Extensive overnight travel in regional territory. Possible travel may include New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
• Communicate effectively with prospective students through high school visits, college fairs, written and electronic correspondence, and telephone follow-up. Some evening and weekends required.
• Develop and foster good relationships with High School Guidance Counselors in the assigned territory.
• Conduct professional group information sessions for prospective students and families visiting campus.
• Participate in the planning and execution of on-campus and off-campus recruitment events.
• Read and review applications for admission.
Required Skills/Qualification:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years experience in college admissions.
Must be customer service oriented and possess proven oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet applications and database software.
Ability to work independently and part of a close-knit team.
Strong organizational skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively from September to November.

Part-time administrative coaching position available July 1, 2013. Responsible for all aspects of the varsity women’s field hockey program. Oversee and organize all facets of NCAA Division III intercollegiate program, including, but not limited to; recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes through NCAA approved contact and academic support services; effective in-competition coaching, practice structure, and instruction; game day operations; scheduling; travel supervision; budget control; as well as campus, community, and media relations. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; 3 years experience in college field hockey, intercollegiate athletics, and administration.
