Field Experience Coordinator

 

York College of Pennsylvania is seeking a team-oriented, qualified professional to join the Department of Education as an administrator for Field Experience.  The Field Experience Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining school district partnerships to support the field experience requirements for all Education majors. The coordinator will collaborate with faculty and program coordinators to develop assessments/assignments for field experience, and will also go into the schools to monitor students, ensure requirements are met, resolve conflicts/issues/concerns that may arise while students are representing YCP in the field, and maintain a professional presence in the districts.  Additional responsibilities include maintaining field experience documentation, verifying clearances and working with the Field Services Administrator to further the needs of the Field Services Division.  This ten-month position will begin mid August 2015. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Education, the successful candidate will have at least five years of experience (teaching and supervision) in K-12 education public schools and hold a Masters of Education or higher in Supervision, Administration or related education field.  In addition, supervisory certification and/or experience in supervision are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary for this position.

Part-Time Professional Writing Tutor

 

 

The York College Writing Center is seeking applicants for the position of part-time Professional Writing Tutor to specialize in providing support for college students’ multimodal composition, including digital, visual and written texts, and oral presentations. Duties will include individual tutoring of students in the Writing Center, assisting the Writing Center Director in designing and facilitating workshops for York College student about elements of multimodal composition, and assisting the Director with staff development initiatives for peer and professional tutors.

Qualified candidates will have a Master’s Degree in English, Writing Studies, Education, or a related field; experience teaching at the college level; and experience in developing and/or teaching multimodal and digital texts. Experience working in a writing center is preferred. The position offers 12-18 hours per week, with an hourly wage to be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Assistant Swimming Coach

 

Part-time administrative coaching position available September 1. Qualified candidate will assist the head coach in all aspects of the daily operation of the intercollegiate Men’s and Women’s Swimming program with responsibilities inclusive of recruiting, athlete development, practice and meet preparation and execution, travel coordination, and oversight of student-athlete academic progress. Additional duties as assigned by the head coach. Bachelor’s Degree Required. Collegiate coaching and/or competitive experience preferred.

Director of the York College Fund

 

York College of Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time Director of the York College Fund to serve in the Advancement Division. The Director will develop and implement all strategies related to the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects in support of the York College Fund.

York College has achieved five consecutive years of record charitable support from its benefactors and looks forward to welcoming a dedicated professional to the team. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Development, the ideal candidate will join a group of motivated, team-oriented professionals. We seek an individual with exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Some travel, night and weekend work will be necessary.  A passion for the distinct mission of York College is essential.

A Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of three years of development/fundraising experience with an annual fund/annual giving campaign preferred. Experience with developing and managing relationships with key donors and prospects (preferable in higher education) is essential.  Salary and benefits will be competitive.
