The Counseling Services Office advances the overall wellness of students through individual/group counseling sessions; educational programming and consultation; crisis intervention and specialized referrals. Licensed counselors provide free, confidential counseling in accordance with the American Counseling Association's Code of Ethics.

Students are typically seen through scheduled appointments which they must schedule on their own in person or via telephone 717.815.6437. Walk-ins are also welcome. In crisis situations, Counselors will meet immediate needs as soon as possible and in a timely manner.
What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?
Students need to bring their York College ID to their appointments to be held while they update their information on an iPad.
Counseling Services has switched to a new web content management system built for higher educational facilities.
What does this mean?
It means less paper! Forms will be electronic and students using the services of the Counseling Services Department will be using iPads to complete forms and update records.
First appointments for each new semester will require students to update their information and complete all necessary forms using the iPads. Please be sure to arrive approximately 25-30 minutes before your appointment in order to update all necessary documents and meet with the counselor at the scheduled appointment time. Students are welcome to stop by any time during our regular office hours if they have some free time to update their records.
Please contact our office at 717.815.6437 as soon as you know you will not be able to make an appointment! We would like 48 hours notice if you are able to do so to allow for an opening for another student to utilize for an appointment. Thank you!
