Center for Teaching & Learning

The York College Center for Teaching and Learning takes a holistic approach to enhancing student learning. We work closely with faculty to provide integrated resources for curriculum design, teaching goals, and academic support programming. The CTL is committed to being a catalyst on campus where personal development and positive mentoring relationships foster academic success for YCP students.


The CTL supports student learning by collaborating with faculty to provide a variety of academic support services and instructional development resources to enhance teaching and learning at York College.

  • For students: tutoring, study groups, study skills assistance, and review sessions.       
  • For faculty: instructional development programming workshops and resources.

Writing Center

The Writing Center is located in HUM19. Schedules of tutor availability will be published by September 9th from the Writing Center icon on MyYCP.

Math Assistance

To make an appointment with a math tutor, click on the link below. Schedules of availability will be published by September 9th. 


Assistance with Select Courses

Drop-in hours of peer tutors for a variety of courses will be listed at the link below.  Also, students may email a tutor to inquire about meeting. Tutors will meet with students as their time permits.
