Parking Services

The operation and parking of a motor vehicle on campus is a privilege and the College reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or revoke this privilege for just cause. Having a personal vehicle on campus is not a prerequisite of any College program and students bring, park, and operate vehicles at their own risk.

The College is not responsible for vehicles, or personal possessions left in vehicles, while parked on campus; however, any theft or vehicle damage that does occur on campus should be reported to the Department of Campus Safety immediately.

  • All parking at York College is by parking permit only.
  • Students may obtain parking permits at the Campus Safety office (Manor Northeast lobby) or Campus Information Center (Student Union lobby) during business hours. In addition, commuter students may also obtain parking permits at the Evening Resource Center, located in Room 200 in Campbell Hall.
    • Summer parking permits cost $5.00 and are valid until August 20, 2012.
  • Faculty and staff may obtain parking permits at the Campus Safety office, the Evening Resource Center, or in the Campus Information Center, located in the lobby of the Student Union.
  • Visitors and guests may obtain visitor permits at the Campus Safety office or in the Campus Information Center.
  • In order for anyone to obtain a parking permit of any type, you must complete an application and provide name, address, phone number, and the appropriate vehicle information (make, model, color, year, and license plate number).

Currently, all locations selling parking permits can only accept cash or check payments.  Those who need to pay with a credit or flex card may do so at the Business office, located in the Miller Administration building.  Then, present your receipt, with the permit application at any of the locations to finish obtaining your permit.

Each permit comes with a copy of the traffic and parking regulations and a detailed parking map, however, you may obtain a copy of each below.
