Obtaining Parking Permit and ID Cards

2014-2015 Parking Permits


All parking at York College is by permit only.


Please read the following instructions for obtaining your parking permit completely.

Students who will be parking a vehicle on campus will need to pre-register their vehicles in order to obtain a York College parking permit.

Log onto the College portal at my.ycp.edu and locate and click on the blue myParking icon under Main Applications.

  1. Enter your username, password, and ID number to log into myParking.
  2. Click on Apply for Permit,
    1. Select the appropriate parking permit application (be careful that you select the correct permit).
    2. Read your contract agreement and then select I Agree and click on the Next button.  If you select "I Do Not Agree", than you will not proceed any further.
    3. Enter your vehicle information and cell phone number into the appropriate fields and click on the Continue button.
    4. To continue, enter your credit card information.
    5. After a successful transaction, print your receipt and temporary parking permitusing the printer icon on the webpage.
      1. DO NOT use the web browser to print the receipt, as it will not print correctly.

Students may pick up their actual permit according to the schedule below:

Please ensure that you bring with you the following documents:

  1. Receipt,
  2. Vehicle registration for the vehicle registered, and
  3. Student ID card or State ID/Driver's License. (If you do not yet have your Student ID card, you may obtain it at the Campus Safety office!)

We will not release permits without these three items.

Beginning on Janurary 19th, permits will be issued according to the following schedule:

Monday, January 19, 2015 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Campus Safety Office - Manor Northeast
Tuesday, January 20, 2015 8:00 am to 7:00 pm Campus Safety Office - Manor Northeast
Wednesday, January 21, 2015 8:00 am to 7:00 pm Campus Safety Office - Manor Northeast

Please ensure that you bring with you, your receipt, your vehicle registration for the vehicle registered and your student ID card.  We will not release permits without these three items.

*Students may obtain their permit after January 5th, however, it is suggested that you contact the Campus Safety office prior to arriving on campus as the office may be closed due to training or other events.

Beginning on January 22, 2015, the Campus Safety office will revert to normal business hours. 


The schedule for obtaining an ID card is the same as obtaining permits above.

All full-time and part-time students are required to obtain an Identification Card, which has multiple functions:

  • Identification
  • Access card
  • Library Card
  • Computer centers
  • Admission to student activities
  • Athletic events
  • Meal plan

You should always have your YCP ID card with you while on campus and should present or give it to any College faculty, staff, or administrator upon request.

New students will need to provide the following documentation to obtain a student ID card:

  • Photo ID, such as a driver's license or a State identification card
  • Current class schedule/bill from York College
  • Must be official college document that contains the students name, address, ID number and schedule of classes

Students may obtain their ID card according to the schedule above.

YCP Flex Card Program

The YCP ID Card serves as the the YCP Flex Card with debit card capability for the York College community. The card is accepted for purchases and services both on and off campus.
