Obtaining Parking Permit and ID Cards

Summer parking permits will go on sale beginning on May 1, 2013 for $10.00.  Students may register a second vehicle for an additional $5.00 fee.

YCP ID Card

All full-time and part-time students are required to obtain an Identification Card, which has multiple functions:

  • Identification
  • Access card
  • Library Card
  • Computer centers
  • Admission to student activities
  • Athletic events
  • Meal plan

You should always have your YCP ID card with you while on campus and should present or give it to any College faculty, staff, or administrator upon request.

New students will need to provide the following documentation to obtain a student ID card:

  • Photo ID, such as a driver's license or a State identification card
  • Current class schedule/bill from York College
  • Must be official college document that contains the students name, address, ID number and schedule of classes

Bring these documents to the William Walker Room, located on the lower level of the Student Union, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Beginning on Thursday, January 24, students will need to report to Campus Safety to obtain their ID card during normal business hours, which are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

YCP Flex Card Program

The YCP ID Card serves as the the YCP Flex Card with debit card capability for the York College community. The card is accepted for purchases and services both on and off campus.


York College Parking Permit

All parking at York College is by permit only.

New students who will be parking a vehicle on campus will need to pre-register their vehicles in order to obtain a York College parking permit.

Log onto the College portal at my.ycp.edu and locate the blue myParking icon under Main Applications.

  1. Enter your username, password, and ID number to log into myParking.
  2. Click on Apply for Permit,
    1. Select the appropriate parking permit application (be careful that you select the correct permit).
    2. Read your contract agreement and then select I Agree and click on the Next button.  If you select "I Do Not Agree", than you will not proceed any further.
    3. Enter your vehicle information and cell phone number into the appropriate fields and click on the Continue button.
    4. To continue, enter your credit card information.
    5. After a successful transaction, print your receipt and temporary parking permit using the printer icon on the webpage (do not use the web browser to print the receipt).

Visit the William Walker Room, located on the lower level of the Student Union, beginning on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to pick up your 2012-2013 parking permit.Students will need to present their receipt, vehicle registration for the vehicle registered and their student ID card in order to obtain the permit. 

Beginning on Thursday, January 24, Campus Safety will resume normal business hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Please ensure that you bring with you, your receipt, your vehicle registration for the vehicle registered and your student ID card.  We will not release permits without these three items.
