Hometown Announcements

readMedia

‌The Office of Communications works with an outside organization, readMedia, to publicize students' achievements and activities on campus. readMedia uses a unique web-based platform that allows the college to create personalized stories about these accomplishments, publish them online at readabout.me and send them to hometown newspapers.

When an achievement is shared with readMedia, an email announcement is also sent to the student, who may enhance his or her online profile at readabout.me. While the online profiles are quickly updated, it usually takes several weeks for such announcements to appear in local newspapers.
