Fine Art Senior Exhibition

May 1–13, 2015

Senior Presentations: May 1, 2015, 3 p.m., DeMeester Recital Hall

Opening Reception: May 1, 2015, 4–6 p.m., Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall lobby

The Fine Art Senior Exhibition features the work of Fine Art majors in their final semester of study at York College. The students present their senior bodies of work, demonstrating the artistic and conceptual growth they have achieved in our program before leaving to pursue careers in the arts.

The seniors work collectively during their final semester to refine their creative vision and learn to present themselves and their work in a professional manner.

The Art Division faculty votes to award three Rottler Award winners based on a variety of considerations, including conceptual strength, skillful and inventive use of materials, thematic coherence and formal qualities of the work. The Rottler Awards, given annually by the York Art Association, will be presented at 4:30 p.m. in the Cora Miller Gallery.

The seniors will give PechaKucha-style presentations beginning at 3 p.m. in DeMeester Recital Hall. A reception will follow the presentations in the York College Galleries and Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall lobby. The events are scheduled early so that students and their families may also enjoy May's First Friday Art Walk in downtown York. All are welcome to attend. The events are free and refreshments will be served.
