An American Music Review at York College

YORK, Pa. - The Division of Music at York College of Pennsylvania will present an American Music Review of the songs of Stephen Sondheim, Saturday, May 3, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m., in Wolf Recital Hall.
Sondheim is one of America’s most respected and creative composers and lyricists working in the American musical theater today. The review is titled "Side by Side by Sondheim," and includes selections from West Side Story, Gypsy, Follies, Company, Anyone Can Whistle, Evening Primrose, Pacific Overtures and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
The show, free and open to the public, is directed by Dr. Frederick Schreiner, with musical direction by Dr. Randal Woodfield, piano by Dr. Kenneth Osowski and James Valliant and Percussion by Jeff Stabley, all faculty members in the Division of Music. The cast includes 13 student members of the York College Opera and Musical Theater Program.
