Paterno Family Professor in Literature to Speak at YCP
Posted April 7, 2008FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
YORK, Pa. - PSU Professor Dr. Michael Bérubé will discuss "Disability Studies and the Public Humanities," April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Humanities Center Film Viewing Room at York College.
Bérubé, the Paterno Family Professor in Literature, will try to show that disability - and ideas about disability - are actually fundamental to our ideas of "identity" - and that, paradoxically, disability studies can be the one "identity" program that leads us to question identity politics itself.
