Spring Choral Concert at YCP

YORK, Pa. - The York College Chorale and Chamber Singers will be presenting a Spring Choral Concert on April 11 at 7 p.m. and April 13 at 3 p.m. in the Wolf Recital Hall at York College. Eighty-five singers in two different ensembles will be performing under the direction of Dr. Grace Muzzo, along with pianists Gretchen Dekker, Lois Nielsen and cellist, Rachel Kauffman.
The concert is titled "From Darkness...Songs of Light" and it will feature poetry and music composed in response to times of conflict, culminating with songs of hope and peace. Selections from Karl Jenkins The Armed Man: Mass for Peace and Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem will reflect poetry by Rudyard Kipling and Walt Whitman. This will be followed by American songs and poetry from the Civil War and the twentieth century.
