An Inconvenient Truth at YCP

YORK, Pa. - An Inconvenient Truth, one of the most widely-seen and discussed documentaries in recent years, will be shown Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in The Humanities Center Film Viewing Room on the YCP Campus. The film presents Al Gore's campaign to make the issue of global warming a recognized problem worldwide.
Dr. Keith Peterman, a chemistry professor at YCP, will introduce the film by discussing a case study of species impact due to climate change observed by York College students during a recent field study in the cloud forests of Costa Rica. Peterman addresses issues associated with climate change in his courses and has participated in field studies related to climate change in the tropics and the artic. A question and answer session will follow the screening.
