Ellen Lupton: “Design: A Living Experiment”

YORK, Pa. – New approaches to design that are changing the world will be the focus of Ellen Lupton’s free lecture Thursday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall, Recital Hall.
During “Design: A Living Experiment,” Lupton will also talk about reinventing personal design and applying design to all aspects of life—from the private spaces to public worlds.
Lupton is director of the M.F.A. program of graphic design at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. She is also curator of contemporary design at Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City, where she has organized numerous exhibitions, each accompanied by a major publication.
