York Businessman Under a “Glasgow Sun”

YORK, Pa. – Longtime York businessman Robert Fisher is truly a “Man of the World.”
Robert Fisher has reached back into his extraordinary life, combined with his wealth of experiences with a love of history, and created a riveting historical novel of crackling intensity titled Glasgow Sun.
On Thursday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m., Fisher will hold a lecture and book signing for Glasgow Sun at York College in the Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall, Recital Hall.
Glasgow Sun depicts how a young man’s childhood of hardship in Glasgow, Scotland, leads him to turn against his country as a spy for the enemy during World War II.
Fisher, a York resident for more than 25 years, was born in Scotland in 1938. He has dual U.S. and British citizenship but has also lived in Malaya, Singapore, Brazil and England.
Over the course of his career, Fisher has been responsible for the operations of companies in 65 different countries including vice president of Borg Warner’s international operations and president and CEO of Borg Warner’s Air Conditioning Group (York International, from 1981 to 1985).
