FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

YORK, Pa.—The York College cheerleading team will collect donations for student fire victims, Friday, April 7, from 12 to 5 p.m. in the Iosue Student Union lobby at York College.  The donations will benefit the four York College students effected by the Thursday, March 23, fire on Jackson St.

“After reading about the fire, I felt heart sick,” says Coach Debbie Gunnet. “If my child was a victim, I would want somebody to help.”

Coach Gunnet enlisted the help of her cheerleading team to collect clothing and other items lost in the fire. They will be accepting donations of male and female clothing, school supplies and gift cards. All leftover items will be donated to a local charity.
