Slam Poets Kick Off Spiritual Week at York College

YORK, Pa. – York College of Pennsylvania will be sponsoring Spiritual Life Week Feb. 12 – 18, with several programs open to the public. A “Race & Religion Symposium: A Dialogue in Spoken Word” will kick off Spiritual Life Week Sunday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m., in the MAC Recital Hall.  The symposium will feature Slam Poets Bryonn Bair, an African-American man who was wrongfully arrested by New York City Police; Jason Carney, a former skinhead; and Kevin Coval, a Jewish verbal assassin.

 To conclude Spiritual Life Week, the York College Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring “Greg Maroney, Pianoscapes of York County,” Friday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m., in the MAC Recital Hall. Tickets are available to the public for $10 and $7.50 for students with proper student ID. Proceeds will benefit York Habitat for Humanity.
