FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Terry Gross has a unique gift for revealing what makes someone tick. Tune in to National Public Radio’s daily afternoon program, Fresh Air, and you’re certain to hear her interviewing some of the most prominent figures of our time: John Updike, Arthur Miller, Spalding Gray, Sonny Rollins, Diane Keaton, Elvis Costello. Gross brings her audience into an intimate place where the “celebrity” becomes more understandable – more human.

So did you ever wonder what makes Gross tick? Gross will tell all on Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Recital Hall at York College in her talk, “All I did was Ask.” Gross talks about her techniques for good interviews and tells a bit about who she is and why she does what she does. Gross began hosting and producing Fresh Air at WHYY in Philadelphia, and it has since become a daily, one-hour program distributed nationally to 406 stations. Gross has been lauded with a number of the industry’s most prestigious awards.

Gross’s talk is free and open to the public on a first-come-first-served basis. For more information, please contact the York College Department of English and Humanities at (717) 815-1349.
