Spartans share "Christmas with the Community"

York College Spartans will host "Christmas with the Community" on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m. in Wolf Gymnasium B. "Christmas with the Community" provides the perfect opportunity for the varsity athletes to come together to celebrate the holidays with less fortunate families in the community.
In its fifth year, "Christmas with the Community" allows York College student-athletes to extend holiday cheer to families who are less fortunate this season. Each athletic team will represent a family as they compete in zany relays and win prizes for them. The athletes will also participate in a gift exchange and share a meal in fellowship with the families.
Organizer and head field hockey coach Vicki Sutton believes the evening shows how the York College student-athletes care about their community. "We have a great group of student-athletes that care about what's going on," she says.
