FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

What an exciting way for York College students to take their minds off papers and exams for a few hours and support a good cause at the same time! In support of the Therapeutic Recreation Department of South Central Pennsylvania Easter Seals, students will participate in the second annual Wolf Academic Center (WAC) Fest on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 1-7 p.m. Through activities such as a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, Eat Your Face Off Challenge, Caricature Drawings and Water Volleyball, the students hope to increase the donation given last year to Easter Seals.

Professor Julie Saville introduced the charitable event last year to her special events management class. “The event provides great hands-on training to Recreation students when it comes to planning an event,” says Saville.

The Easter Seals of South Central Pennsylvania chapter serves the six counties of Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York. For more than 70 years, they have been dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adults with disabilities by helping people live with equality, dignity and independence.
