Tactical Handcuffing Certification Course Offered

The Special Programs Office at York College of Pennsylvania presents a Tactical Handcuffing Certification class on Sunday, Oct. 24. The course will cover the proper method of searching and restraining both compliant and resistant individuals and certification will be awarded through Personal Protection Consultants International. Participants must be criminal justice majors or employed as police, security or corrections officers. York College has been a leader in Criminal Justice education since 1969. The College offers specialized courses in Criminalistics and Asset Protection Security. Both day and evening courses are available. Students may gain experience working for the Department of Safety & Security. Students are also eligible for scholarships from the International Foundation for Protection Officers.
