FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Players of York College bring a new play by American playwright Don Nigro to life with the world premiere of "Boar's Head" on Oct. 5-9 at 7 p.m. in the Perko Playpen Theatre.

The humorous and touching "Boar's Head" features familiar Shakespeare characters, such as Falstaff, Mrs. Quickly, Nym and Bardolph, in "the play that Shakespeare didn't get a chance to write," as Dr. Jim McGhee, director of theatre at York College, describes the upcoming performance.

This world premiere performance will take place in the newly renovated 90-seat theatre with a thrust stage to fully engage the audience. With special guest Lawrence Harbison, senior editor at Samuel French, Inc., the playwright's publishing company, attending the Oct. 8 performance, "Boar's Head" promises not to disappoint.
