Posted June 18, 2004FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
York, Pennsylvania -- York College of PA is once again offering this popular educational experience for middle school students. You don't have to be a science major to enjoy this wonderful introduction to the field of science.
The robotics camp is designed to reveal the challenges and rewards of science and engineering
to middle school students and to introduce them to some of the skills required for success in these fields. Students will work in teams to build functional robots. The camp is based upon a model developed by the National Robotics Engineering Consortium at Carnegie-Mellon University.
Robo Camp will be held on campus and will offer two separate weeks of action. The summer day camp is for students in grades 6 through 9 and will take place July 12 - 16 or July 19 - 23.
For more information on the Robo Camp, call Dr. Jim Kearns at (717) 815-1522.
