TECHQUA IKACHI
Posted April 15, 2004FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
York, Pennsylvania -- An original music production for the stage has been created by Dr. Frederick Schreiner and the York College Division of Music, in collaboration with internationally known composer James Brody. Techqua Ikachi is an intriguing and profound look into the myths and legends of the Hopi Indians of the southwest region of Arizona and New Mexico.
This musical narrative, which traces a culture spanning a millennium, features visual images, lighting effects, and body movement. It's such a provocative experience that two dates have been set aside for the production. Techqua Ikachi will be performed in the MAC Recital Hall on May 1 at 7 p.m. and May 2 at 3 p.m. For more information you may call (717) 815-1258.
