FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

York, Pennsylvania -- The second annual "Great Jeans Giveaway" takes place this week at York College. Students from various organizations on campus will be collecting used jeans and then donating them to a worthy cause. As part of Eating Disorders Awareness Week, the effort is aimed at trying to convince people to accept their bodies and stop trying to squeeze into jeans that no longer fit. This year's theme is, "Don't Fight Your Genes, Just Change Your Jeans."

Students will be collecting the jeans Monday through Thursday, February 23-26, between 10 a.m. and noon. Collection boxes will be located in the Student Union Lobby, McKay Hall and Campbell Hall. For more information you may call Karen Jones, Counseling Services, at (717) 815-1787.
