FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

York, Pennsylvania--Dr. Anthony Fredericks, Associate Professor of Education at York College of Pennsylvania, has another book to add to his collection. His latest addition entitled, "Exploring the Oceans: Science Activities for Kids," brings the magic and mystery of the oceans to the home and classroom.

Designed for ages 8-12, Exploring the Oceans is both a practical and useful tool for teaching children about the important role oceans play in our lives. Students can participate in a variety of activities that relate to real-life concerns about the condition of our oceans, such as creating and then cleaning up an oil spill. To celebrate the "Year of the Oceans," this timely new resource book helps us understand the world beneath the sea, emphasizing the importance of preserving and protecting the world's oceans.

Dr. Fredericks has written more than 30 resource books in the areas of science, social studies and language arts. He teaches elementary methods courses in science and language arts at YCP.
