AIDS Memorial Quilt Displayed at York College

York, Pennsylvania--A segment of the National AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display in Buechel Lounge at York College on Monday, November 30, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The quilt was provided to the school in honor of World AIDS Day held on December 1.
The Student Senate Organization at York College has arranged "Sexual Awareness Week," in collaboration with World AIDS Day. They are also in the process of planning their Annual AIDS Walk that will take place in April '99, and are looking for possible sponsors to help with this enormous project.
The students have several events planned for the week, and are hoping this can raise awareness to the growing concern of the AIDS virus. World AIDS Day is designed to educate people on preventing the spread of infection and care for people living with HIV/AIDS.
