York, Pennsylvania--The York College Board of Trustees has approved the 1999-2000 College Budget, as recommended by the York College administration. There will be a $300 increase in the annual tuition, from $5,980 to $6,280, or 5.02%. The average increase for tuition, fees, room and board is $440, raising the annual academic year total of such charges from $10,860 to $11,300, or 4.05%.
The College's expenditures will increase next year due to the following principal factors:
1) The addition of six full-time positions and one administrative position.
2) Replacement of computer systems that are not Year 2000 compliant.
3) Higher operating expenses due to supply cost increases.
