York College's Christmas Gift Tree Party to be Held Dec. 9

York, Pennsylvania--As the weather chills and the air fills with holiday spirit, York College students recognize that many less fortunate children are relying on a magical visit from Santa Claus to bring them happiness this Christmas season. Many students have volunteered to become Santa's helpers.
York College of Pennsylvania's second annual Christmas Gift Tree Party will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, in Buechel Lounge from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. More than 120 needy children from the York community will receive Christmas warmth and a personal gift from the student volunteers.
Prior to the Christmas party, participating students will purchase a toy that a child has requested from Santa Claus. The students will then hand deliver the gift to their “adopted” child during the party. The Gift Tree is sponsored by York College's Resident Assistant Community Service Committee.
