York College to Present "A Rodgers and Hammerstein Potpourri" on April 6 & 7

York, Pennsylvania--York College of Pennsylvania will be presenting “A Rodgers and Hammerstein Potpourri” on April 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. in MAC Recital Hall.

This Music Theatre Workshop production includes melodies and choruses from some of Rodgers and Hammerstein's greatest Broadway hits, including “Carousel,” “The King and I,” “The Sound of Music,” “South Pacific” and “Oklahoma.” The musical will be directed by Dr. Frederick Schreiner and Dr. Stephen Barton.

The event will feature guest artist John Darrenkamp. Darrenkamp, who had a distinguished 25-year career at the Metropolitan Opera and on Broadway, will sing two of Rodgers and Hammerstein's most memorable songs, “Some Enchanted Evening” and “This Nearly was Mine.”

Tickets will be available at the door for $5; no advanced tickets will be sold. Space will be limited, so patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
