Poets of the Past Penetrate the Future at York College April 5

York, Pennsylvania--Dr. Leslie Cahoon, author and professor of classics at Gettysburg College, will present “Renegotiating the Future with Some Wisdom from the Past” at York College on April 5 at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The lecture will examine contemporary issues with a view toward the ancient poetry of Homer, Vigil and Ovid. Dr. Cahoon has authored a variety of literature on classical poetry. She is currently writing a book on Ovid and a commentary on Medieval Latin Christian hymns.
