FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MORE THAN 100 UNIQUE ACADEMIC PROJECTS WILL BE PRESENTED
York, Pennsylvania--York College's Third Annual Student Scholarship Day will be held Monday, May 1 in Campbell Hall. More than 100 students who have recently completed a major academic study will display the results of their work or give a dramatic oral presentation.

Student Scholarship Day is an opportunity for academic departments to come together as one college body and celebrate student achievement. By pulling together their entire college experience with a focused and researched presentation, students are able to showcase their interests and knowledge to the college community. Students are also able to demonstrate their capabilities to potential employers and provide inspiration for current and future students.

Many of the students participating in Student Scholarship Day have been involved in a capstone course, senior project, independent study or internship. Most students choose to create a poster displaying the results of their work. Posters will be displayed in Campbell Hall during a morning and afternoon session on May 1.

Academic disciplines participating in Student Scholarship Day include behavioral science, biology, business, chemistry, communications, computer science, criminal justice, education, engineering, English, fine arts, history, mathematics, music, nursing, physics, philosophy, sport management and theater.

A complete list and description of academic projects will be available during the week of April 17. More information about Student Scholarship Day can be found on the Internet at www.ycp.edu/scholarshipday.
