International Speakers at York College May 1 & 2

York, Pennsylvania--Two international professors will speak at York College on Monday, May 1 and Tuesday, May 2. Monday's speaker will discuss ethnic conflict and cooperation in Europe, while Tuesday's speaker will explore the role of sociobiology in the next century. Both lectures are free and open to the public.
Dr. Sigrid Pollinger, General Secretary of the University Center of Peace Research at the University of Vienna, will speak about “Ethnic Conflict in the Balkans and the Role of the Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe” on May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall. Dr. Pollinger is a representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. He is a faculty member at the University of Klagenfurt in Austria.
Dr. Erik Kaiser, member of the Institute for Medicine and Chemistry at the University of Vienna, will present “Sociobiology: A New Eugenics for the Next Century” on May 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall. He is a distinguished faculty member within the College of Medicine and an expert on chemical warfare.
The lecture series is sponsored by York College's Behavioral Sciences Department, the Faculty Enhancement Committee and the Institute of Social Philosophy of the University of Vienna.
