AIDS Walk 2000 is May 7

"Walking into the Millennium" Begins at York College
York, Pennsylvania--The 2000 York AIDS Walk will be held on Sunday, May 7 at 2 p.m. The walk is three miles long, beginning at the York College fountain and ending at the Garden of Serenity and Hope on Albemarle Street. The fundraising event is coordinated by York College and William Penn High School. The theme of this year's Walk is "Walking into the Millennium."
The Walk will benefit O.P.E.N. (Ordinary People with Extraordinary Needs) of York County and the Susquehanna Chapter of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. Each participant who raises $100 or more will receive a free AIDS Walk T-shirt.
Registration ends at 1:30 p.m. on the day of the Walk. Check-in for those registered is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the York College Student Union lobby.
AIDS Walk 2000 is sponsored by Diehl Motor Company, York Newspaper Company, WQXA-FM, The Bon Ton, and Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff.
