York College Offers October Retirement Seminar

Program Will Teach Money Management, Investment Strategies

York, Pennsylvania--York College will offer a four-part seminar in October titled "Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement." The program is designed for people both young and old who want to plan and create a secure future for themselves and their families.

The seminar will cover key concepts of wise money management, including how to generate steady income, protect assets from erosion, minimize taxes and create a long-lasting retirement fund.

Classes will be held on October 4, 11, 18 & 25 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the John Hancock Room of Manor Northeast. The program costs $79 per couple or $69 per individual. The registration deadline is September 29.

Participants will learn how to get the most from their investments, Social Security and retirement plans. They will also be given strategies for protecting hard-earned assets from inflation and the possible cost of long-term healthcare.

The registration fee includes a colorful workbook and a retirement planning data form that allows users to inventory their assets, income, Social Security and pension benefits.
